I am extremely pleased and delighted to present the new comprehensive website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Dehradun Region. It is a collection of diverse activities carried out throughout the year for the harmonious and all-round development of the future citizens as well as their achievements in various fields. Education today is not confined to any limited sphere, it includes depth of knowledge, culture of character and blending of personality. KVS has taken a pioneering initiative in providing unlimited opportunities to students to excel in various fields and prove their worth. It is an institution whose underlying objective is education and education psychology in a secular environment. Academic and extra-curricular activities are its common feature. Competitions are organized at various levels to promote national integration. Since a teacher also has a vital role in the field of education, we have a team of highly qualified Principals and teachers selected on the basis of All India merit who are fully dedicated to their duties and responsibilities towards the society and the nation. Apart from having a command over their subjects they are also well equipped with the latest learning techniques and developments taking place in the field of education. Ample opportunities are being provided to them to hone their knowledge through literary talks, subject committee meetings and staff meetings at school level, through orientation and refresher courses and through workshops and seminars organized at regional and all India level. No tuition fee is charged from any student up to class-8 and from girls up to class-12. 25% of seats in class-1 are filled with children from socially disadvantaged and economically weaker sections of the society under the “RTE Act”. Children admitted under this Act get free education up to class-8. This website will display information about administration, infrastructure, academic and non-academic activities, latest events, achievements and accomplishments.
